How do I solve a puzzle?

Each puzzle is a famous quote broken into letter tiles. Drag any tile and drop it onto another to swap their positions. A tile turns blue when it reaches its correct spot. Solve the whole board in as few moves as you can.

How do share codes work?

When you create a puzzle, Letterbox gives you a short code. Anyone can enter that code to fetch your puzzle from iCloud and play it. Looking up a shared code needs a connection and a signed-in iCloud account; the built-in puzzle library always works offline.

Does it sync across my devices?

Yes. If you're signed in to iCloud, your progress syncs automatically across your iPhone and iPad through your private iCloud account. No account or sign-up is needed beyond iCloud.

Can I play offline?

Absolutely. All built-in puzzles are included in the app, and the whole game works without a connection. Sync simply catches up the next time you're online.

How do I report an inappropriate shared puzzle?

Email [email protected] with the puzzle's share code and we'll review it. Shared puzzles are user-created; see our Terms of Use.

What data does Letterbox collect?

No analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no personal data. Progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
